Good news for our fitness mommies!!

I recently learned that St. John's Hospital here in St. Louis offers a reimbursement for StrollerFit® classes or for that matter any legitimate fitness program. I'm afraid I don't know all the details but anyone working there should definitely check into it. I also wanted to inform everyone that StrollerFit® classes are also eligible for reimbursements through many insurance carriers. All you have to do is contact your insurance company to find out what they have to offer and then just let me know and I will take care of what they need from me. During a time when the economy is so bad this could be a great tool for all you mommies to use so you can continue or even start your fitness routine with stroller fitness classes.

Fitness for moms & children!

I'm so excited to be kicking off our mom 'n tot yoga classes next week. My son already loves doing the yoga with me so I'm sure he'll have a blast in class with everyone else. These classes are a great way to get the kids involved in fitness. Everything you do they will be doing. It's the perfect opportunity for them to learn how much fun exercise & fitness can be.

Next week will mark the beginning of StrollerFit St. Louis moving outside for the season.
Monday's & Thursday's we will be outside at BMAC, which is right across the street from our normal location(St. Louis Mills). Saturday's class will be held at Hellebush Park, just like last year for those of you that have been coming to StrollerFit for awhile.

Fitness Tip: With the weather getting warmer and more people getting in their exercise outside you need to remember to replenish all that water your body is losing. Make sure you drink water before, during and after your workout.

Fun fitness classes for you and your child...

We are busy, busy here at StrollerFit® in St. Louis. We are 3 weeks into our Spring Fitness Challenge and now we have partnered with The Biggest Loser to do their Pound for Pound Challenge. We will enter as a team and for every pound we pledge to lose they will donate one pound of groceries to Feeding America, which will deliver groceries to local food banks across the country. What a great idea and I'm so happy we could participate in this challenge.

We will also be kicking off mom 'n tot yoga very soon.
Here's a little more information on that.......

A fun, interactive 40 minute yoga class for you and your child to do together! We will tell stories and 'act' out the poses.
This is a FUN FUN class!


Strengthen your body and your bond at the same time!
Reduce you and your child’s risk of obesity and disease!

All ages from birth to 10yrs are welcome.
Keep in mind classes are designed to keep kids aged 3 - 8 engaged in a fun yoga class.

Classes will be starting May 6th and will be held every Wednesday evening from 6:45-7:25pm.

Moms are ready for our spring fitness challenge!!

We've officially started our Spring Fitness Challenge. It will last 8 weeks and everyone is partnered up for this challenge. The two (team) members who lose the most weight & inches will win this fitness challenge and receive a great prize courtesy of StrollerFit® Exercise With Your Baby™ St. Louis.
This challenge is a little bit different than the others we have done in the past because now you are not just in for yourself but you have a team mate to help you through it. There's that extra motivation from the other mom in class because they are relying on you to try and do your best and to give each other encouragement.
We have a great group of moms participating. Where else could you get such great encouragement and motivation but from other moms like ourselves looking to lose a little baby weight or tone up a bit.
I CAN'T WAIT to go shopping for new clothes after we complete this challenge. Maybe we'll make it a mom's day out and all of us will go get a new outfit! It's always a great feeling to go shopping for clothes a couple sizes smaller than what you were wearing last year.

Check out what one mom had to say about StrollerFit

Congratulations to Elisha for being our Mom of the month!!! She was our Lady & Baby in Red challenge winner. She is a working mom but comes to all of our Saturday stroller fitness classes.
We truly enjoy having her & her two children in class with us and look forward to seeing them at every Saturday class.
Here's some of her answers to a few questions that I asked her about class.

1. What is the name and age of your child/children? Addi...3yrs old Jack...14 months

2. How long have you been attending StrollerFit®? I have been attending Strollerfit classes since the end of April, 2008.

3. What do you and your child/children like best about StrollerFit®? I love the fact that I can have some time for myself without leaving my kids somewhere else. I love that my kids get to experience their mom doing something healthy. I like to see Addi mimic Strollerfit at home with her babies.

4. What is your fitness goal? My fitness goal is to get back into shape, tone up, and stay active.

5. What would you tell your friends about StrollerFit®? I always tell my friends that Strollerfit is a guilt free workout because you have your kids with you. It is a workout that gives you the results you want. And it is a great way to get and stay motivated to meet your goals. My kids enjoy going to see their friends as much as I do every week.

Fitness Tip: Pushing a stroller while walking/running burns on average 20% more calories. Grab those little ones and get going!!!
